I love these so much I kept one for myself! These wonderful plates are by my favourite factory, Brown Westhead & Moore, and date to around 1860. I have one smaller and three slightly larger tea plates available, all with the same charming design of moths, crickets, and grasshoppers.
The design is in relief to the edges of the plates and flat to the body. They are really special and rare - I have not seen any others, despite collecting this pottery for several years. A wonderful display piece and talking point. In very good condition for their very considerable age.
