This is a lovely piece - a shallow (soup?) dish decorated with two birds investigating a beetle in the undergrowth. The illustration is charming and typical of the quality maker Brown Westhead & Moore who were creating beautiful earthernware and porcelain from the 1860s to early 1900s. This piece is in lovely original condition with no cracks or crazing. There is one slight glaze fault on the rim which has a tiny watermark beneath it (see photos) but it doesn't detract from this lovely display piece which would make a handsome addition to a kitchen dresser.     The Bladnoch shop has on-street parking outside. Accessed from the pavement, there is a small step of 3cm and a wheelchair accessible metal threshold. The door width is 71cm.

    The shop is on one level, with shelves at various heights - staff will be very happy to assist in passing customers any items they wish to handle.

    Although the shop is small, there is room to manoeuvre a wheelchair inside.
