A really special pair of deco bookends in the form of a galloping horse, cast from metal (probably spelter) mounted on a gorgeous green onyx base with varying tones. Dating to the art deco period c.1930s, these super stylish bookends are in lovely original condition. As a soft stone, the onyx is a little nibbled around the edges but in generally very good condition, and the colour perfectly off-sets the striking black of the horse with flowing mane and charming face.
